Mahima, Virat, Nikhat, Aniyah Win TT Titles

Hyderabad: V. Mahima Krishna, Virat Sagar, K. Sri Saanvi, B. Harshith Reddy, Aniyah Anand, S. Arush Reddy, Nikhat Banu and Ali Mohammed won titles at the Gujarati Seva Mandal Telangana State Ranking Table Tennis Tournament here on Friday.

Virat won the Boys Under-15 final by beating Sriram Siddharth 12-10, 6-11, 12-10, 11-8 while Mahima defeated Riddhi Toro 8-11, 11-8, 11-6, 5-11, 11-7 in the Girls U-15 title round.

For the past 26 years, GSM has been a strong supporter of table tennis. Under the dedicated coaching of M. Venugopal, GSM has nurtured and developed numerous players who have played at national and international levels.

Girls U-17: K. Sri Saanvi (SPARS) bt Aniyah Anand (LFHSA ) 3-1 — 6-11, 11-6, 13-11, 11-5. Boys U-17: B. Harshith Reddy (SGUTTA) bt Yashvasin (AWA) 3-1 — 11-8, 11-4, 5-11, 16-14.

Girls U-19: Aniyah Anand (LFHSA) bt H. S. Nikhita (GSM) 4-0 — 11-3, 11-8, 11-6, 11-8. Boys U-19: Arush Reddy (SGUTTA) bt M. Rishabh Singh (GTTA) 4-1 — 11-9, 11-8, 9-11, 11-8, 11-6.

Women: Nikhat Banu (RBISC) bt K. Shresta Reddy (GSM) 4-1 — 11-9, 9-11, 11-4, 11-7, 11-7. Men: Ali Mohammed (HDTTA) bt V. Chandra Chud (GSM) 4-2 — 11-8, 7-11, 11-5, 13-11, 7-11, 11-6.
