Harish Shankar.

Trolling has become an unavoidable part of the film industry in the age of social media, with celebrities frequently facing criticism over their speech, mannerisms and public appearances. Vijay Deverakonda is no exception. However, director Harish Shankar has come out in strong support of the actor, asserting that his dedication to cinema cannot be questioned.

Speaking at an event, Harish said that while people might troll Vijay for his language and body language, they cannot undermine his commitment to films.

Sharing his own experience with online criticism, the director said, “If I were afraid of trolls, I would have left the industry after Shock. I wouldn’t have made it this far.”

Making his point about Vijay, Harish asserted that nobody could troll the actor’s dedication to his craft.

Vijay has frequently faced criticism on social media, with users commenting on his way of speaking and his mannerisms. However, Harish believes such trolling cannot take away from the actor’s commitment to his work.

Harish’s comments come as Vijay Deverakonda gears up for the release of Ranabaali. His strong defence of the actor has once again brought the spotlight on the social media trolling that celebrities face and the importance of recognising their dedication beyond online criticism.
