Notwithstanding the monsoons, Chiranjeevi-starrer Sye Raa completed a major war episode in Hyderabad recently.  Apparently, the 35-day schedule was hit by torrential rains, but the film’s unit worked very hard to compensate for the lost time.

The makers have erected a huge set on the city outskirts (at Kokapet) to shoot scenes on Chiranjeevi and the other supporting cast. The scenes include war episodes from the British era.

A source informs, “Action sequences where Uyyalawada’s (played by Chiranjeevi) guerilla army attacks a British garrison were shot. The unit also shot day and night under the supervision of Hollywood action choreographer Greg Powell and cinematographer Ratnavelu. Chiranjeevi is all praise for director Surender Reddy, who was able to successfully complete the film despite all odds.”
