Pawan Kalyan's Khushi turns 17

Khushi, the film that launched Pawan Kalyan as a superstar, completed 17 years on Friday. It was among the most sensational movies in Telugu cinema and became a huge hit with the youth.

The film, directed by S.J. Suryah and produced by A.M. Ratnam, was released on April 27, 2001. On Friday, Ratnam personally presented Pawan with a bouquet of flowers. 

“They spoke about the film and remembered the good old days,” says a source. Bhumika played the female lead and all the songs in this film became huge hits. It was also one of the trendsetters at the time.
