No dual role for Gopichand

Director Sampath Nandi is eager to taste success once again as he gears up for the release of Gautam Nanda. Gopichand, Hansika and Catherine Tresa play the lead roles in the film. Initially, it was reported that Gopichand plays a dual role, with one character being negative. But the director clears the air, saying, “It’s a character with two shades. To find himself, the protagonist sets out on a travel. That’s when the other shade comes in. There is also no negative role,” he says. 

Hansika and Catherine play characters called Spoorthi and Mugdha. “Spoorthi means inspiration and the protagonist gets inspired by her in the film,” says Sampath. The film has no item song, and Sampath was apparently inspired by a question and answer episode in a book by Ramana Maharshi.
