On a cool Tuesday night, New Jersey Governor Phir Murphy and his team of delegates were set to receive a warm welcome on his arrival at a city’s star hotel.
The delegation exchanged pleasantries, trying to know more about Hyderabad, and welcomed all those present at the event.

Phir Murphy, who’d made a quiet entry and spent a few minutes meeting people, invited them inside for the briefing. “Alright, folks! Can we proceed to the main hall for the briefing?” he said.

As a part of his seven-day trip to various cities in the country, to strengthen the economic ties of New Jersey with India, Phil was in Hyderabad to sign an MoU with the Active Telugu Film Producers Guild, which was represented by Supriya Yarlagadda.

Expressing optimism, he wished that more and more Telugu films are shot in New Jersey because of the state’s strategic location and the privileges it extends for films.

Describing it as a ‘strategic partnership’, Phir Murphy, said, “It’s a proud moment for the State of New Jersey to pitch the idea of signing an MoU with the Telugu film fraternity. With our premier location, film tax credit and vibrant Indian community, the Garden State is an ideal partner for the Telugu movie industry. We believe our alliance will further deepen our ties with Tollywood, one of the largest film industries in the country.”

The Governor further adds, “As New Jersey encompasses a large section of Telugu communities, we believe this initiative will also help strengthen the cultural ties.”

Producers Shobu Yarlagadda, Rajeev Reddy, Damodar Prasad, Bapineedu, Manchu Vishnu and wife Viranica attended the event.
