Actor Gopichand’s next film Chanakya is set to hit the screens during Dussera. The film’s team spoke to media on Saturday morning and shared their confidence about the film.
“Director Thiru narrated the story to me two years ago, but back then, I’d requested him to make a few changes to the script if he was convinced about them, too. He then came back to me with the same story with a lot of changes in it. We sat on it for a long time and then decided to go in for the shoot,” says Gopichand.
The film is like a spy thriller with the suspense sustaining till the end. The actor, who also believes this is a good film for him, spoke about Thiru, who would be debuting as director in Telugu films.
“Thiru has previously worked for a few Tamil films, and this would be his first Telugu film. Initially, we did wonder if he could manage the language, but he has a good command over the language, and he has done a good job. The story he narrated to me was the same he turned around on screen,” adds the actor, giving all the credit to Thiru for the output. The actor also praised cinematographer Vetri and producer Anil Sunkar.
