Ashok Galla film shelved?

There’s disappointing news for debutant actor Ashok Galla (Mahesh Babu’s nephew). His film, which had a grand launch last October, has been shelved for reasons yet unknown.

The project has been a challenging one ever since producer Dil Raju took on the mantle to launch Ashok Galla. First, the director of the film had to be replaced, and later, there was buzz that it would be a remake of a Turkish film. Now, the news that the project may not happen at all has left the filmmakers high and dry, especially considering that a lot of hard work had already gone into it.

A source says, “At a time when things were looking promising, the unit received a setback with the decision not to go ahead with the project.”
