An act of appeasement
The production house U.V. Creations, of Prabhas's next film, states that it will update fans about the film once normalcy is restored
A hashtag that has been trending on social media is #BanUVCreations. The production house owned by Prabhas’ close friends (and partly by Prabhas himself) is currently making the actor’s 20th film, under director Radhakrishna.
Fans have been expressing their disappointment on social media, saying U.V. Creations has not effectively planned the film’s publicity. They point out that it has been over seven months since the period romantic drama went on the floors, but no update has been given yet.
The filmmakers tweeted on March 17 that the first look of the film would be released ‘soon’, but fans have been demanding to know how soon ‘soon’ would arrive.
With fans’ frustration evident on social media, the filmmakers went into damage control mode.
The production house has issued a statement saying that in view of the global pandemic, work on the film has been stopped. It promised an update as soon as things returned to normal.
“We are amidst a global pandemic and many lives are at stake due to the current situation. Owing to the current situation, we have paused all our activities. After all this is over, we promise to come up with many more updates. We urge everyone to stay home & stay safe! #Prabhas20,” said the post.
