Pooja Jhaveri has just finished shooting for her upcoming Telugu film called 47 Days, directed by Pradeep Maddali. The actress says that working on the murder-mystery, that also stars Satyadev, was challenging.

“I play a Juliet-like role, and I had to communicate a lot through my eyes and it was a tad difficult. Most of the time, the director asked me to maintain a straight face and that’s difficult because in real life, I am very bubbly and full of life. But as the shoot progressed, I got used to it; and this role has brought out a different shade of me,” shares the actress.

Pooja also heaps praises on the film’s director: “He’s a protégé of Puri Jagannadh, so naturally he’s very quick while shooting the scenes. Satyadev too is a cool co-star to work with.”

Interestingly, while actresses her age are trying to up their glam quotient with each film, Pooja has chosen to walk on the road less taken. “I can play a glam doll any day, but I am looking to be different and pick up roles that are realistic and substantial. As long as I get offers of intense roles, I don’t want to let them go,” she says.

Having featured in a handful of films now, the Dwaraka actress says that life in showbiz hasn’t changed her much. “I am still the same Pooja if I take off the makeup, and working in Telugu films has made me disciplined. But the toughest part I feel is living and focusing on the characters I play,” believes Pooja.
