The best thing I am doing is not following anyone, says Actor Nani
Now, audiences are waiting to see if Nani is able to fill his shoes.
Bigg Boss Season 2, which will go on the air from June 10 onwards, will be hosted by actor Nani. The first season of the reality show was hosted by Jr NTR, and it was a huge success. Now, audiences are waiting to see if Nani is able to fill his shoes.
Talking about his preparation for the show, the actor says, “I met Tarak at an audio event for Mahanati, and I also went to his house. I discussed Bigg Boss, but he didn’t give me any tips or advice on anchoring the show. The only thing he told me was not to act much, and to remain natural.”
Nani is all praise for Jr NTR, who he believes has done a fantastic job. “I take it as a challenge and I will do my best to live up to people’s expectations,” he says.
Surprisingly, Nani hasn’t watched a single episode of the show so far, in fact, he even tried dissuading others from watching the first season. “When my family, friends, and relatives would watch the show, I would scold them and ask — ‘Why are watching such bad programmes?’ Now, I am anchoring it!” he says, adding that he plans to watch a few episodes.
Nani reveals that Allu Aravind was the first person to call him with words of encouragement. “He called me and told me that I could do the show,” he says.
The actor has quite a few stars that he can seek inspiration from — Salman Khan, Kamal Haasan, Nagarjuna, Chiranjeevi and Jr NTR — but he says that he doesn’t want to follow anyone. “The best thing I am doing is not following anyone; I will do it on my own,” he says.
