Still from Baahubali

After Aamir Khan’s Dangal became the first Indian film to enter the Rs. 1000-crore mark in China, the makers of Baahubali are all set to recreate the magic there. “We are yet to lock in a date for release in China,” says producer Shobu Yarlagadda, adding, “We are working on the technical process, so it might take a couple of more months. The work has been initiated and is in full swing.”

E-Star, the distributors of Dangal, PK, and Baahubali—The beginning, in China, are likely to release the second version too. Although the first part of Baahubali fared ordinarily in China, the makers exude confidence that the second version will strike a chord with the audience.
