Suresh Kondeti’s look as Vangaveeti Ranga!
In the film Taraka Ratna plays the role of Devineni Nehru, while Suresh Kondeti will portray Vangaveeti Ranga.
Clearly, it’s the time for period dramas and biopics in Tollywood. And jumping into the fray is director Siva Nagu, who is coming up with a film titled Devineni. Siva’s film is based on the stories of popular political leaders from Vijayawada, Devineni Nehru and Vangaveeti Ranga, who represented two communities.
“We are making this film on these two people in the hope of showing the truth about them. Many say they were big rivals, but that was not so. They were very good friends, and I am giving equal importance to both of them in my film,” says Siva Nagu.
In the film Taraka Ratna plays the role of Devineni Nehru, while Suresh Kondeti will portray Vangaveeti Ranga. Suresh, who’d done small roles in a few films, will have a lengthy role in this film. “It’s a prominent role and the story revolves around the two characters. It’s for the first time I’ve got to play a lengthy role, and that essaying Ranga, someone I had heard a lot about but never met personally. He had passed away when was in Class X,” says Suresh.
