Seasoned star Akkineni Nagarjuna is reportedly set to romance Tamil actress Aishwarya Rajesh in his landmark 100th film. According to sources, Aishwarya has already joined the shoot and will be seen as one of the romantic leads.
Adding to the film’s appeal, Bollywood actress Tabu is said to be playing a pivotal role in this much-awaited project, which is being directed by Ra Karthick.
Aishwarya Rajesh, who last appeared in the Telugu hit Sankranthiki Vasthunam alongside Venkatesh Daggubati, seems to have landed yet another strong role with this film.
"The shoot is progressing at a brisk pace, with nearly 40–45% of the filming already completed on the outskirts of the city. The film is said to be a commercial entertainer with an emotional core centered on the relationship between a father and daughter.' adds the source.
Interestingly, the makers are planning to use de-aging technology to portray Nagarjuna across multiple age phases, ranging from 25 to 60 years. Actors Sushmita Bhatt and Vijayendra are also playing key roles in this big-budget venture backed by Annapurna Studios.
On the career front, Nagarjuna’s last solo release was Naa Saami Ranga, which performed well at the box office. He also explored darker shades in Coolie alongside Rajinikanth, and played a layered role in Kubera—reflecting his intent to experiment with diverse characters and expand his acting repertoire.
