Vikramjeet Virk, Ravi Teja to lock horns
The former will play a role with two different shades in Amar Akbar Anthony, to be directed by Sreenu Vaitla.
Vikramjeet Virk will be seen as a baddie in forthcoming Telugu film Amar Akbar Anthony. Directed by Sreenu Vaitla, the actor will be pitted against Ravi Teja in the breezy entertainer. Apparently, the role has the actor portraying two shades — a 15-year-old and a 35-year-old.
“My role, Bob Marley in Paisa Vasool got a great response and I feel humbled with all the appreciation. In Sreenu Vaitla’s film, I play a baddie and it’s a stylish role. But what drove me to take up the project was my two-shade characterisation, and this is the second time I am working with the director after Baadshah,” shares Vikramjeet.
The Haryana-born actor adds that he knows Ravi Teja well. “I have met him earlier with Puri Jagannadh sir; he’s chilled out. We have even partied together a couple of times and worked out together in the gym. So getting to work with him for the first time is exciting,” he states.
Notably, Vikramjeet is also doing a couple of films in Bollywood. “I have signed Karan Johar’s film Drive, which is about street car-chasing. I play a stylish Punjabi guy whose body is full of tattoos, and the film also features Sushant Singh Rajput, Jacqueline Fernandez and Sapna Pabbi. I am also a part of Ronnie Screwvala’s film directed by Aditya Dhar.”
