After two years of its original release, Ranbir Kapoor’s blockbuster film Animal is set to roar into Japanese cinemas on 13 February 2026. The movie recorded itself as one of the highest-grossing films at the box office with a massive global collection of Rs. 915 Crores.

The Production house Bhadrakali films took to its social media platform X (formerly Twitter) to announce the theatrical release across Japan. Accompanied by a poster customised for the Japanese audience, the tagline reads “Kono otoko wa Darenimo Tomerarenai,” which translates to “This man cannot be stopped”. The tweet also described the movie as "The most talked-about, debated, and unforgettable cinematic experience is coming to Japan. Animal releases in Japanese theatres on February 13, 2026,” mentioning the movie's long-awaited comeback.

The announcement featured the film’s intense, obsessive protagonist - Ranbir Kapoor aka Ranvijay Singh. The Japanese theatrical rollout is being handled by Geek Pictures, a company that has frequently collaborated on bringing Indian films to local audiences. The Japanese audience has been entertained with blockbusters such as Baahubali 1 & 2, KGF Chapter 2 and RRR.

Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, Animal stars Ranbir Kapoor alongside Rashmika Mandanna, Anil Kapoor and Bobby Deol in key roles. Meanwhile, there might be a clash of preference for the audience as Allu Arjun's 'Pushpa 2: The Rule' is scheduled to hit Japanese theatres in January 2026.
