Chennai: Actor, choreographer and filmmaker Raghava Lawrence has addressed growing speculation about his possible entry into electoral politics, saying he will make an important announcement on June 11.

In a statement shared on social media, Lawrence acknowledged reports circulating across various media platforms claiming that he would contest the Trichy East election. He said several journalists had contacted him seeking clarification as speculation continued to intensify.

“News about me contesting in the Trichy East election has been circulating across various media platforms. Since the speculation has grown to a point where I feel I should address it, I wanted to share this note,” Lawrence wrote.

The actor added that he is currently occupied with the shooting of his upcoming film Benz and that his schedule will conclude on June 10.

“With my mother’s blessings, an important decision regarding my life will be announced on June 11, Thursday, at 9.30 am,” he stated, ending the message with the hashtags #Mattram and #ServiceIsGod.

The post has fuelled further curiosity about whether Lawrence is preparing to enter politics or make another significant announcement related to his public life. However, the actor stopped short of confirming any plans and urged followers to wait for the official announcement.
