Vimaanam to take off in December

The movie is based on the life story of Saji M. Thomas, a deaf-mute from Idukki, who fought against all odds to build an aircraft.

The much-awaited Prithviraj film Vimaanam is getting ready for release. According to sources, the film will hit theatres in Decemeber. Produced by Listin Stephen, this big budget film is directed by debutant Pradeep M. Nair.  The movie is based on the life story of Saji M. Thomas, a deaf-mute from Idukki, who fought against all odds to build an aircraft. Earlier, we had seen Prithviraj in real-life inspired portrayals in Celluloid and Ennu Ninte Moideen. Both the movies were hits and elevated the actor’s career graph. 

In Vimaanam, he appears as Venkat. Kozhikode-based dancer Durga Krishna plays the female lead Janaki. The movie will also see Alencier in a different get up. Nedumudi Venu, Shanthi Krishna, Sudheer Karamana and Anarkali Marikkar do other prominent roles. The cinematography is by Shehnad Jalal. Music is scored by Gopi Sundar.
