Malayalam actress abduction: Inmate number 523 at Aluva sub-jail

Kochi: Actor Dileep, 49,  was lodged in Aluva sub-jail on Tuesday morning after the Angamali first class judicial magistrate remanded him in jail. Dileep  is also a native and resident of Aluva. Dileep,  number  523 inmate,  has been lodged with five other remand prisoners.  Though Dileep's lawyer sought a separate cell for his client,  the court refused it. The other inmates in Dileep's cell are ganja peddlers and accused in stealing cases.

Dileep was brought to the sub-jail at 7.45 a.m. Hundreds of local residents were seen on  the jail premises to have a look at the actor and many booed him. According to sources,  two of his friends tried to visit Dileep,  but the jail authorities sent them back.  Only his relatives are  allowed to see  him,   but none went there on Tuesday.
