The world is still recovering from the Purple Rain singer's death, and it is said that he contracted HIV in mid 90's which developed into AIDS six months ago, as claimed by a anonymous source of Dailymail.co.uk. He refused to get it treated as he felt God would heal him and he could be cured by prayers. He felt he didn't need ‘human intervention’.

It has also been said that Prince was addicted to the prescribed painkiller Percocet which was also found on him when he died as reported by TMZ.com. It is also been discovered that 6 days prior to his death, Prince almost died of overdose of this very drug. Prince had been on this drug since 2009 as he was suffering from hip problems.

A source, who was not identified by the Enquirer, said: “Doctors told Prince his blood count was unusually low and that his body temperature had dropped dangerously below the normal 98.6 degrees to 94 degrees. He was totally iron-deficient, very weak and often disoriented. He rarely ate. His face was yellowish, the skin on his neck was hanging off and the tips of fingers were a brownish-yellow.”
