Gopi Sundar Says Koragajja's Music Is Going To Be Groundbreaking

Koragajja is the title of an upcoming movie directed by Sahitya Akademi Award-winner Sudheer Attavar. Its music, composed by Geetha Govindam fame Gopi Sundar, is going to be groundbreaking, as per the makers.

Trivikrama Cinemas and Success Films have stated that top audio companies are vying to acquire its music rights, owing to the grand potential of its music. The soundtrack has been powered by unique singing talents like Shreya Ghoshal, Sunidhi Chauhan, Shankar Mahadevan, Javed Ali, Armaan Malik, and Swaroop Khan.

As per Gopi Sundar, the movie's music will offer a unique musical experience. "Composing music for this movie required more time as I had to immerse myself in new traditions. The tunes I created came after understanding these customs, and I’m glad the director liked my work," he says. Given the rare genre, the story of Koragajja offered him the opportunity to experiment a lot. "The subject of Koragajja allowed me to invent a new genre, exploring fresh musical territories. The film’s subtle layers go beyond regular movie formats, and composing for it was both challenging and rewarding," he adds.

The film explores the story of Koragajja, a principal deity worshipped in the Tulu Nadu region of Karnataka, Kerala and a few areas in Mumbai. A track by Shankar Mahadevan "masterfully blends verses from the Shiva Tandava".
