Meanwhile, Padmavati is finally to be viewed by the Central Board Of Film Certification (CBFC) this week.

According to sources from the CBFC, the producers, Viacom 18 Motion Pictures, have submitted the revised version of the application on November 28.

“The new application is very consciously worded in legalese, and the CBFC is trying to decode the various levels of claims and disclaims in the application about the historic authenticity of the film. This is taking time. But the film will be viewed by the board’s Examining Committee in the coming week, and we will have to organise a panel of historians to examine the content,” a source from the CBFC says.
