Nidhhi Agerwal's Reaction To Sivaji's Comments On Outfit During Mobbing Incident

Telugu actor Sivaji has found himself at the center of a storm after making controversial comments about how women, particularly heroines should dress in public.His remarks drew widespread criticism from across the industry and beyond, forcing the actor to issue an apology on social media.
Following this, Sivaji held a press conference where he attempted to explain the context behind his statements. He referred to the recent mobbing incident involving actress Nidhhi Agerwal at a promotional event for The Raja Saab at Lulu Mall in Hyderabad.
According to Sivaji, he intended to urge women to dress “appropriately” in public spaces. He admitted to using two unparliamentary words during his speech and apologized once again. However, his explanation was seen by many as defensive rather than aplogetic. Sivaji said that comments stemmed from “concern” for women’s safety, claiming some of his words had been taken out of context. He acknowledged crossing a line but maintained that his first step was to apologize openly, without conditions.
Actress Nidhhi Agerwal responded in a dignified manner through her Instagram story, posting a picture from the event with the caption: “Blaming the victim is a form of manipulation.”
The Telangana State Commission for Women has since taken suo motu cognizance of the issue and summoned Sivaji for an enquiry scheduled on December 27, 2025. Meanwhile, Sivaji’s latest film Dhandoraa was released in theatres today, December 25, 2025. The film reportedly tackles caste discrimination in society.
