Mumbai: Ayushmann Khurrana has once again hit the ball out of park with his latest release 'Bala'. The film, which also stars Yami Gautam and Bhumi Pednekar in pivotal roles, hit the theatres on November 8 and seems to unstoppable! Directed by 'Stree' fame Amar Kaushik, 'Bala' took a fabulous opening of Rs 10.15 cr at the box office on Friday, with an increased growth on Saturday with Rs 15.73 cr.
Despite the current affairs, and slight unrest in the country the film seems to be unaffected, collecting Rs 18.07 cr on Sunday, taking its total collection to whopping 43.95 crores in the opening weekend.
After 'Stree' and 'Luka Chuppi', producer Dinesh Vijan has another winner in hand. 'Bala' has proved yet again that content is the real king.
Sharing his excitement about Bala's performance, Dinesh Vijan says,“This weekend has not only been special for Bala but also for us at Maddock films, it’s the highest weekend for the company and it’s truly overwhelming.
