Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan had recently wished each other for their films.

Mumbai: After working relentlessly for their ambitious ‘Satyamev Jayate Water Cup’, a tournament held in Maharashtra's rural areas involving water conservation, Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao could not make it to the prize distribution ceremony as they have been diagnosed with Swine Flu.

The couple, however, joined the event via videoconferencing where they expressed their sadness at not being able to attend and said that they they have been asked to stay in a room for seven days.

An event of this scale with Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis in attendance, would be incomplete without star presence and Aamir rightly requested his friend and superstar Shah Rukh Khan to step in for him at the event.

SRK happily obliged and later took to Twitter to thank Aamir for the honour of attending such an occasion and also lauded Fadnavis’ concern for farmers.

Celebrities and fans also took to social media to express their concern and wish the star couple a speedy recovery.
