On Thursday, Kangana Ranaut issued a cheque for Rs 42 lakhs for the Cauvery Calling Campaign, backed by her guru Jaggi Vasudev a.k.a Sadhguru.

“She not only issued a cheque but has also urged people to come forward and do the same. Each sapling costs only Rs 42, and donating even one tree is possible. So, if she has donated Rs 42 lakhs, it implies that she has donated one lakh trees to the cause,” says a source close to the Queen actress.

“She keeps donating to charity, but this is the first time that she has supported an entire campaign, more reason being that it is for the Isha Foundation and Sadhguru. She has come out for a cause and put her own money to endorse the campaign,” adds the source.

Earlier this week, we saw Shraddha Kapoor braving the rains and trying to protest against the cutting of the trees in the Aarey Forest.
