Radhika Apte received a lot of critical acclaim for her performance in 'Parched'.

Mumbai: Radhika Apte has finally reacted on her much scrutinised lovemaking scene in the buff with co-star Adil Hussain in Leena Yadav’s critically acclaimed ‘Parched’.

The actress shockingly enough revealed the filming was nothing like how people would’ve perceived it to be. The toughest job, according to her, was to find a sock to cover Adil’s modesty.

"We kept cracking up all through. Your body is the last thing you are conscious about when shooting a sex scene. It was inside a cave and had we not found the sock, the shooting would have been delayed. The unit thought an erotic dance sequence was being shot," she candidly told Mid-Day.

The actress asserted that it was amongst the funniest scenes she’d ever filmed. Unable to control her laughter, she went on to add, "Adil even blurted out, 'I am sorry if I get a hard-on and I am sorry if I don't'."

The actress, who has never shied away from filming explicit scenes in the past, had been unanimously lauded for her portrayal of a wronged woman in the film. She, however, was critical of the two-dimensional mentality of the general critiques of the love-making scenes, which had been leaked online, immediately going viral.

Talking of the controversy that followed the leak, she opined, "Those who were raising eyebrows and rolling eyes would have never got the humour in this. People look at things as black and white. Unfortunately, everyone saw it from a unilinear perspective. They were either angry or sympathetic. Ask us, we have laughed throughout. It will be the most memorable scene ever for the amount we have laughed and for what we take away from it. I have been criticised and praised equally, but films are a learning process and that scene will be a milestone."
