Fight with Katrina over length of role in Thugs of Hindostan? Aamir clears the air
Kats is rumoured to have a 5-minute role in the film, as opposed to newcomer Fatima Sana Sheikh, who has an elaborate character to play.
Mumbai: There was a lot of excitement when Aamir Khan announced on micro-blogging site Twitter that Bollywood belle Katrina Kaif is the fourth and final ‘thug’ in Vijay Krishna Acharya’s larger-than-life project based on sea pirates ‘Thugs of Hindostan’.
The film has been making a lot of noise for its star cast, which also consists of Amitabh Bachchan and Fatima Sana Sheikh.
But, soon, news of Katrina’s role being of mere 10 minutes started doing the rounds, followed by her being upset with the superstar for allegedly giving a more significant character to fresher Fatima Sana Sheikh of ‘Dangal’ fame.
At the trailer launch of ‘Secret Superstar’, a film based on the trials and tribulations a young girl (Zaira Wasim) faces in her pursuit to becoming a singing sensation, Aamir Khan was asked if there is any truth to the story of tension brewing between him and Kats, to which he replied, “Absolutely not! It’s (the news) is untrue.”
Interestingly, Katrina and Aamir have worked together in ‘Dhoom 3’ and are believed to share a friendly relationship.
Directed by Advait Chandan, ‘Secret Superstar’ is set to hit the theatres this Diwali.
