Houses Will Be Provided to All Eligible Beneficiaries in Phases: Minister Ponguleti

Minister Ponguleti said the government will provide houses to all eligible beneficiaries in a phased manner, reaffirming the Congress government’s commitment to the welfare of the poor.

He stated that some people have requested additional housing allocations for their constituencies and assured that such demands would be considered. Criticising the previous government, the minister said it failed to focus on the construction of double bedroom houses.

“Housing is a symbol of dignity for the poor,” Ponguleti said, alleging that the previous regime believed commissions could be earned from projects like Kaleshwaram but not from building houses for the poor.

He added that the government would allocate house sites on suitable land in rural areas and reiterated that the Congress government stands for the poor and marginalised.
