Mumbai: Bollywood actor Vivek Oberoi recently visited the Sabarimala Ayyappa temple situated in Kerala.

The actor was accompanied by producer Ajay Dhama. Vivek Oberoi has been visiting the temple every year, for the last 16 years. As usual, the actor was dressed in black.

The actor recently expressed the reason why he has been visiting the temple. Apparently, in 1998, the actor had a fierce vision of thronging bells and loud chants. The actor saw himself dressed in black, climbing a rocking mountain all by himself.

Being a spiritual person, Vivek didn’t ignore this vision and searched for an equally resembling place until he found Sabarimala. Ever since, the actor’s been paying the divine temple a visit every year.

Recently, Vivek even voiced his opinion against temple authorities’ restriction to not allowing women in the premises. Apparently, girls who have not hit puberty and post-menopausal women are allowed inside the temple and this has miffed many people, including the Supreme Court.

The actor raised his voice and said that Sabarimala is not only a matter of faith but also about spiritual democracy and everyone should experience it.
