Thiruvananthapuram: The admission supervisory committee has instructed that only students who qualified CAT, MAT, CMAT or the KMAT test conducted by the Kannur university be admitted to MBA courses in the state.

KMAT is being conducted by Kannur University on all districts in the state under the supervision of Admission Supervisory committee headedby Justice J M James on January 31.

The website www.lbscentre.in/kmat2016 has started receiving the application for the examinations from Wednesday.  The application fee for General candidate is Rs. 800and for the SC/ST candidate, Rs. 500.

The last date for submitting the online application is January at 5 p.m.

The decision to allow students who passed prescribed examinations was taken to ensure transparency in the admission process to stop managementsfrom admitting those who did not pass any entrance exams.
