HyderabadThe AP Cabinet will meet at Rajahmundry on July 18. This was decided by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, who vowed after Saturd-ay’s stampede to stay in the town till Pushkaralu concludes on July 25.
 
The government intends to send a signal to the people that it is with them in their hour of grief, top political sources said. The Cabinet will give its nod for the judicial enquiry ordered by the CM after Wednesday’s stampede which claimed the lives of 27 pilgrims. It will also give its approval for the cash compensation of Rs 10 lakh to families of each of the victims. The other issues on the agenda include consideration of port policy, allocation of land for some institutions and projects. 
 
The Cabinet meet has been scheduled a day before the arrival of the Singapore team which would submit the master plan of the seed capital at Amaravati. The Cabinet will also discuss some Amaravati-related issues including shifting of departments. And the row over classification of land among others.
