AP human resource minister Ganta Srinivasa slammed for Eamcet remark
'Students and parents should reach the exam centres at night or early morning'
Hyderabad: Even as 2.55 lakh students and their parents worry about how to reach the Eamcet exam centres on Friday due to the ongoing RTC bus strike coupled with the government’s failure to provide adequate alternate transport arrangements, Andhra Pradesh human resources development minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao’s appeal to them has come as a shocker. He said: “Students and parents should reach the exam centres at night or early morning to avoid inconvenience.”
Addressing a media conference on Thursday here, Mr Rao while appealing to the RTC unions to withdraw their strike keeping in view that seven lakh students who would be appearing for Eamcet and DSC examinations from May 8 to May 11, he requested the parents to ensure that their wards reach the examination centres the night before, or early in the morning of the examination date. He said the government is making all efforts to provide alternative transport arrangements for the students.
