According to the police, the drug use  has become rampant among college students, causing concern to  parents and college authorities.

The town police arrested Athanikal native Puzhyayil Bilathu, with 35 packets of brown sugar, each costing Rs 1, 000, brought from Mumbai by a migrant labourer working in the city.

The Orissa native had been selling  ganja among his friends and other migrant labourers in the city for the last few months, Mr Ashraf added.
