How far can one go to acheive a waist size? A venezuelan model has worn a corset for 23 hours a day every day for the last six years in roder to achieve her dream waist size.

The record setting model has her fair share of fans (her Twitter account has over 75,000 followers), her lifestyle also draws her a great deal of criticism. "They say I have too much surgery, that I don't have ribs and that I am a man," she told Daily Mail. "It is totally false! I am a girl. And people say I am an extraterrestrial!" While a lot of women go to great lengths to achieve unattainable beauty standards, it can end up with negetive consequences. Doctors have warned her that such extreme corset training poses many serious health risks, but to Avendano the corset is like a second skin now. The curvaceous model says gets attention everywhere she goes and clearly revels in it.
