Demand for separate Andhra Pradesh High Court

Hyderabad: The Bar Council of AP has appealed to Governor E.S.L. Narasimhan to take the initiative for constitution of a separate High Court for AP by convening a joint meeting with the Chief Ministers of Telangana and AP.

Bar Council chairman A. Narasimha Reddy, in a representation to the Governor, said that the members of the advocate community have made several requests to the Bar Council to initiate steps to set up a separate High Court for AP and a separate Bar Council for TS.
