KOLKATA: Kolkata Police has summoned some neighbours of I-PAC director, Pratik Jain, to collect details from them about the sequence of the Enforcement Directorate (ED) raid and search at the political consulting firm honcho's flat at a housing apartment on Loudon Street in the city on January 8 in the coal smuggling scam.

They have been asked to visit Shakespeare Sarani police station, which covers Mr Jain's address, to record their versions of what unfolded in front of them during the ED raid. Already, three persons including the caretaker and a security guard of the residential complex have been called.

According to sources, the cops have plans to turn them into witnesses in the two cases initiated against the ED and central forces personnel on the charges of physical restraint, trespass and obstructing public servants, police officers in this context, to counter the central agency's move at the Supreme Court.
