Karnataka CID seeks Andhra Pradesh Lab’s help

Hyderabad: The Karnataka Crime Investigation Department has approached the Andhra Pradesh Forensic Science Laboratory for an audio authentication test in the self-styled godman Nityananda Swamy’s case. The audio pertains to an alleged telephonic conversations and video in the case.
APFSL director A. Sharada said the Karnataka police had sent a request to the director general of police and it has been forwarded to the forensic lab.
“We have sophisticated and the latest audio-video authentication software. We have told the Karnataka police that a translator will be required as the script is in Tamil,” said Ms Sharada.
“We need the sample voice of Nityananda and the other subjects involved. We have asked them to come to our lab and are awaiting their reply,” said Ms Sharada.
