Bengali actress Swastika Mukherjee allegedly caught shoplifting
The actress is set to make a Bollywood debut in Dibakar Banerjee’s 'Byomkesh Bakshi'

Mumbai: Bengali actress Swastika Mukherjee is controversy's favourite child. Swastika, who will be making her Bollywod debut opposite Sushant Singh Rajput in Dibakar Banerjee’s Byomkesh Bakshi — has been accused of shoplifting. The actress along with her boyfriend Suman Mukherjee (a National Award winning actor) was in Singapore to attend the Darpan Film Festival. After the event the actress headed to a jewellery store where she was allegedly caught shoplifting earrings.

The actress was also involved in a domestic violence case with her husband who is the son of a legendary singer in West Bengal. The actress had withdrawn the case and is divorced from her husband. They have a teenage daughter. Swastika is popular face in the Tollywood film industry, She shot to fame after the release of films such as Bye Bye Bangkok, Jaatishwar and Mishawr Rawhoshyo, in which she played significant roles.
