Chennai: Vishal who always raises his voice during critical situations — be it for Kamal Haasan during the Vishwaroopam trouble, fixing piracy problem, and so on, has once again surprised the industry with his fresh set of announcement. The actor revealed that he along with his peers like Jiiva, Arya, Karthi, Jeyam Ravi would join hands and act in a film free of cost and raise funds to build own building for Nadigar Sangham which has created quite a stir in the tinsel town. The latest buzz is that Vishal has zeroed down on Sundar C, for the film and that Kushboo will be producing the film. One may recall that constructing a multiplex at SIAA premises has been stayed by court a few years back.

Speaking to DC, Vishal clarified his stands. “Like how the Malayalam stars did Twenty 20 film for their association, I, Arya, Jiiva, Karthi and Jeyam Ravi will act in a multi-starrer film without taking any remuneration and the money collected through that will be used for constructing a building for Nadigar Sangham. The idea came when we all felt that why the Nadigar Sangham premises should lye in the court as a case for a long and why not we join together and build our own place. After all, NS was something that was nurtured by stalwarts like MGR, Sivaji and M.R Radha among others. It is not that I want to stand against Sarathkumar sir in the coming elections or start a new union. My only request in the general body meeting was to give youngsters a chance and pitched in our idea”.

He adds, “We wanted to work for the betterment of the Sangham. Everyone present there also appreciated and willing to oblige. It’s time for the change to come”. As far as the director who would wield the megaphone for his new venture, the Avan Ivan actor said that they are yet to finalise one.

However, when Kushboo was contacted she was amused hearing the news. “I don’t mind putting my name as a producer in the credits in the proposed multi-starrer. Although, actors are not taking money, there’s a production cost involved, isn’t it? Who will fund that money? Neither Sundar C is being approached. So, there’s no truth in the report”.
