London: An incredible eco-hotel in Egypt has banned mobile phone use in public areas.

The Adrere Amellal hotel near Siwa, which is made from traditional materials such as salt-rock and palm leaves, has banned cellphones in public areas, restricting it to only the bedrooms, the Daily Express reported.

The hotel, which looks like a fancy sandcastle, runs without electricity and uses torches; beeswax candles instead, and is designed to make it blend into its desert surrounding.
