It’s getting chilly in Hyderabad and the time has come to indulge in winter fashion. Here are some wardrobe must-haves:

  • Beret: This one-sided cap never goes out of style and pairs easily with any western outfit. Designer Deepika Reddy points out, “Berets look really cute. While they’re not really necessary for the Hyderabad climate, they make great accessories! You can get one in a neutral colour so that it goes with everything.”
  • Woolen Scarves: “The scarf should be your statement piece. People usually wear dull neutral colours in winter but prints and bright colours can make your outfit stand out,” says Deepika.
  • Shackets: A combination of a shirt and a jacket, cotton shackets are perfect for the Hyderabadi winter. Designer Archana Rao says, “Shackets are a good option. It’s the perfect way to go old school, while keeping you warm and stylish.” If shackets are not for you, indulge in a leather jacket. This is a great investment as it can be worn during the day and night and never goes out of fashion.
  • Woolen Kaftans: If layering is not your style then go for woolen kaftans. “It’s stylish and you won’t go over the board with it,” says Archana.

  • Boots: Deepika suggests peep-toe boots, while Archana recommends the ankle-length trendy sneakers from the Jeremy Scott collection by Adidas.

For Boys: A leather biker jackets is a great buy and designer Vijay Rana says, “Scarves are also a good investment as they keep you warm.” If you find wool itchy, invest in a nice pashmina one.
