Sarika, kids died in suicide bid, says police
Warangal: The remand report of the fire tragedy in ex-MP Siricilla Rajaiah’s home was filed by the police in the court on Saturday.
It was concluded that it was a case of suicide and it was also established that Sarika was harassed mentally and physically by her in-laws and husband. She was deprived of minimum needs.
Cases under Section 498 (A) (dowry harassment) and the other Section 306 (abetting a person to commit suicide) were filed against the ex-MP’s family. The report names Sarika’s husband S. Anil Kumar, his girlfriend Sana, Rajaiah and his wife as the accused in the case.

It is established that Sana, who is absconding, was having an illicit relationship with Anil who neglected his wife and three children. Police commissioner G. Sudheer Babu said that the door to the bedroom where the charred bodies were found was bolted from inside.
“There were no traces of kerosene or petrol in the room. If kerosene was used, the bodies would not have burnt so badly. Some parts of the body would have been left unburnt. And the post mortem proved that the chest bones were broken and there is smoke in all the victims’ chests.
That means they were alive when the fire broke out. So we cannot conclude this as a murder,” he said. Also, Anil’s family knew about his relationship with Sana.
