After Harbhajan Singh, Geeta Basra’s wedding in Jalandhar, New Delhi awaits grand reception

New Delhi: Team India’s veteran off-spinner Harbhajan Singh tied the knot with his long-time girlfriend Geeta Basra in his hometown of Jalandhar during a grand wedding reception.

Indian icon Sachin Tendulkar was present along with his wife Anjali in Jalandhar but it is believed Prime Minister Narendra Modi will make it for the reception this evening.

According to media reports, the event will be a star-studded one with more than 1000 guests expected to attend the reception. Among the ones that are supposed to attend the event are Harbhajan’s childhood friend Yuvraj Singh, Team India’s Test skipper Virat Kohli and recently retired Virender Sehwag.

Bollywood superstars such as Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan and Priyanka Chopra are also likely to be present at the function.

Harbhajan, 35, and Geeta, who has acted in several Hindi and Punjabi films, have had a five years of courtship before they took the marital plunge. Bhajji who also part of India's ODI squad against South Africa and has 710 international wickets to his credit.

Geeta made her Bollywood debut in 2006 in an Emraan Hashmi-starrer Dil Diya Hai and has mostly featured in music videos.
