Sheena Bora murder case: Indrani admits to role in murder?
Mumbai: After a long grilling session and weeks of denial, Indrani Mukerjea on Tuesday night broke down during the interrogation session and admitted to her role in the murder of her daughter Sheena Bora, reports suggest.
However, she has not revealed the motive behind the murder. Her partners in the crime, ex-husband Sanjeev Khanna and driver Shyamvar Rai had earlier confessed their role in killing the 24-year-old.
Indrani, who was grilled for over 110 hours since her arrest last week, until now maintained that her daughter Sheena was in the United States. Indrani refused the allegation that she had plans to kill Mikhail.
It is learnt that Mumbai police commissioner Rakesh Maria himself interrogated her and other accused.
All three accused in the case have been sent to police custody for further investigation till September 5.
Earlier on Tuesday, Siddharth Das, who claims to be Sheena's biological father, came out in the open and said Indrani should be given stringent punishment if she is guilty. He also stated that he was never married to Indrani but they lived-in for three years.
