Sheena Bora murder case: Indrani Mukerjea’s first husband is in Bangladesh
Hyderabad: The Mumbai Police has information that Indrani Mukerjea’s first husband Siddhartha Das had fled to Bangladesh days before they got a tip-off that her daughter Sheena Bora had been murdered, according to the website thequint.com.
Indrani’s relatives had claimed that they have not been in touch with him for 10 years. According to thequint.com, police suspects that Das, a resident of Karimganj in Assam, reached Sutarkandi, about 10 km from the Bangladesh border with the help of a man called Abdul Abed who was an accused in a 2004 Mizoram bank robbery.
Police is investigating whether Das was aware of Sheena’s murder. The website said police was checking whether he tipped off sleuths in Mumbai on August 21 that Indrani’s driver Shyam Manohar Rai was a co-conspirator.
