Embarrassment for TDP after Rs 10 lakh found outside Andhra Pradesh minister’s residence
Hyderabad: Just days after Telangana MLA Revanth Reddy was arrested in the cash-for-vote scam, the Chandrababu Naidu government in Andhra Pradesh has found itself embroiled in another controversy.
Andhra Pradesh’s women and child welfare minister Peethala Sujatha on Wednesday reported that a bag with Rs 10 lakh was found outside her house in West Godavari district of the state.

Sujatha, who also holds the portfolio for the state’s mining industry was alleged to have accepted Rs 40 lakh bribery from mining contractors.

Along with the money, a hall ticket of a DSC (District Selection Committee) woman aspirant was found outside Sujatha’s residence.
The minister, however, denied any role in accepting the cash and alleged conspiracy to tarnish her image.

Earlier, the minister invited the wrath of Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu when she accepted a gold waist belt offered by a group of realtors.
