'Tevar' borrowed title from 'Dil To Pagal Hain'
The Yash Raj film was titled 'Tevar' back then
Mumbai: Remember the 1997 Shahrukh Khan-starrer 'Dil To Pagal Hain' that set new box office records and taught us how to romance? Reports claim, that the Yash Raj film was originally titled Tevar. When Arjun Kapoor and Boney Kapoor started working together for the Hindi remake of Telegu blockbuster 'Okkadu' starring Mahesh Babu, they turned to Aditya Chopra to seek permission for using the title. The film's title was readily passed on to the father-son duo, who are all set to release the movie in January 2015.
The Yash Raj love story Dil to Pagal Hain which was packed with a lot of oomph and attitude featured three protagonists similar to Boney Kapoor's 'Tevar' where we will see Manoj Bajpai, Sonakshi Sinha and Arjun Kapoor. Let's hope Boney Kapoor's 'Tevar' lives up to the name it has been given and attains the classic stature like Dil To Pagal Hain.
