Wickedleak launches another waterproof octa-core phablet
Wickedleak, an Indian smartphone and tablet manufacturer, has just launched the Wammy Titan 3 in the Indian market and is priced well at just Rs 14,990.
The Wammy Titan 3 is a phablet with a huge 5.7-inch IPS OGS display with Dragon Trail Glass, which sports a resolution of 1280x800 pixels. It is just 7.9mm thick, and resembles an identical look of a Samsung Galaxy S4, except for its size.
The phablet is powered by the Mediatek MT6592 chipset, which features a 1.7GHz octa core processor and a MALI-450 GPU with 2GB of RAM. It also sports a 13MP camera with flash on the rear and a 5MP camera on the front. The dual SIM (one micro SIM) handset runs on the Android Jelly Bean 4.2.2 operating system and has a built-in storage of 16GB, which can be expanded up to 64GB.
The USP of the phone is the entire waterproof internals and exterior. The phone is entirely protected with AquaProtect technology, which is a thin layer of super hydrophobic coating on the motherboard, display and the chassis. This waterproofing option can be availed for an additional price of Rs 1,500 at the time of purchase.
The Wammy Titan 3 is a good choice for those looking for a high-end smartphone on a smaller budget. The downside of the phone is the display resolution, standing at just 1280x800 pixels. Those who prefer a waterproof octa-core smartphone with a 5-inch full HF display can opt for the Wammy Passion X, which is available for just Rs 16,990 (effective cost difference of Rs 500 over the Titan 3). The Titan 3 is up for pre-booking with delivery commencing on April 5, 2014.
