Digital-first programme targets entrepreneurs, professionals, and remote workers from emerging economies like India

Vietnam has now begun a new 10 year golden visa programme aimed to attract new tourists, foreign investors and skilled professionals particularly for emerging economies like India. The programme, announced in May of 2025, can be seen as part of Vietnam’s broader plan to evolve as a center for global business, culture, and alliance in Southeast Asia.

The visa offers residency of 10 years with option for renewal and it also gives access to Vietnam’s schools and healthcare, and a potential pathway to permanent residency for select applicants. Indian entrepreneurs can take advantage by starting businesses like IT, textiles and renewable energy drawing into Vietnam's fast growing economy. In addition remote workers can take benefits from Vietnam's affordable cost of living, digital infrastructure making it an attractive place for long term residency.

All applications are planned to be totally digital, with no embassy visits required, and family members can apply through dependent visas. Applications will require a valid passport, financial proof, investment details, health insurance, and a clean background check. Once it is cleared, applicants receive a long-term visa with the option to include spouses and children.
